Parisian Rock Chic: Ingrid Levy

Ingrid Levy lives and breathes fashion. The French-born, New York-based celebrity stylist and fashion consultant got her start working for Patricia Fields on Sex and the City, and now, she’s a fashion expert in her own right. Ingrid is the founder of StyleWorks a fashion consulting firm, and she has become an editor-at-large for Grazia France and Nylon Japan. This self-described “Parisian-chic meets luxe-rock” fashionista has styled celebrities such as Emma Stone and Rihanna, and worked with magazines like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and counts Jane Birkin, Kate Moss,
and Ursula Andress as her style icons. Naturally, she calls the Hermes Birkin her trademark bag, but she also loves champagne diamond jewelry and anything decked out with skulls, and she prefers her jewelry made-to-order. There’s no limit to where she wears her jewels: Ingrid lives near the beach, so she accessorizes her bikinis. She says she believes she could be the love child of Jackie O. and Jon Bon Jovi, since her style is a mix between classic and rock. Considering this description, her fashion rule is fitting: “Subtle clash: I love contrasts, I love subtle shock, and
I love versatility.” Ingrid says she styles photo shoots backwards: she starts by choosing accessories, and then she decides on the clothes. Like everyone at Boticca, Ingrid believes “accessories tell a story.” She says that fashion is “a wonderful way to be an epic and exciting version of oneself,” and we couldn’t agree more. Ingrid loves turquoise, jade, and emerald stones – luckily, there are plenty of these stones to be found on Boticca. Ingrid takes a unique approach to fashion – read on to see which pieces caught this curator’s eye.
